Sunday Sutra: Sacral Chakra Smoothie

Sacral Chakra Smoothie | Well and Full | #recipe #yoga

Another short + simple recipe and post today. My recovery process is not going as well as I had hoped, so I’ve had to devote most of my time and resources towards that process. It has been an intensely emotional journey, fraught with twist and turns at every juncture. I’ve been relying heavily on healthy nutrition and my yoga practice to augment my treatment. Lots of smoothies, lots of salads, lots of real whole foods, fruits, and vegetables. This smoothie combines yogic philosophy and nutrition, designed to stimulate the sacral chakra. Located between the pubic bone and the navel, the svadhisthana is the source of creative energy – not only in terms of ingenuity and inspiration, but also the source of the creation of human life. In this spirit, I created the smoothie with energizing tropical fruits, and a hint of spice with cinnamon, an aphrodisiac. And also because cinnamon and mango are a delicious flavor combination! May you drink this smoothie in good health. Namaste.

Recovery is never easy but I know you’ll be able to push through. Yoga is one of my favourite ways to stay present and conscious, and it reminds me to take pauses throughout the day to breathe. This smoothie sounds so wonderful and tropical, all flavours I miss in the middle of winter! As always, I’m sending you all the good vibes in the world xoxo

Love the addition of cinnamon with all of the fruits – warming and bright at the same time. Hope you feel better ASAP! We’re always more mentally ready to be fully recovered before our bodies are ready to catch up. Patience is not easy!

Sending warm healing thoughts your way. This smoothie looks so nourishing and is such an amazing color, what a delicious combination of fruits and spices. A lot of recovery for me has been learning how to soften into it rather pushing through it- definitely take a lot of patients and most definitely isn’t easy.
