Watermelon Aloe Juice

Watermelon Aloe Juice | Well and Full | #vegan #aloe #juice

First of all, I want to thank everyone who shared such kind sentiments on my last post, where I talked about some struggles I’ve been having recently. I’m so blown away by how positive and supportive this online community is…. it really puts a huge smile on my face that people who I’ve never even met can be so kind and understanding and uplifting. It gives me hope for the world, you know? You all are so wonderful!

A few words about today’s recipe – this watermelon aloe juice was inspired by two of the most refreshing things ever – watermelon and aloe juice. Paired together, they make the ultimate refreshing summer drink.

Here’s what caught my eye on the webs this week:

1 // It’s that time of year again – it’s the Saveur 2016 Blog Awards!! If you’ve enjoyed Well and Full over the past year, it would mean everything to me if you could give me a nomination for “Best New Voice”. The nomination process takes less than a minute, and it would mean the world to me!! Be sure to give your other favorite blogs a nomination, too – this is a big deal for us!

2 // I was sent this ceramic vegetable cleaver by Kyocera to review, and I can’t say enough positive things about it. If you’ve never tried ceramic knives before, I would HIGHLY recommend it!! It blows other knives out of the water!

3 // One of my favorite bloggers, Laura (of The First Mess) is writing a cookbook, and it’s finally on Amazon!! I’m so excited for her!!

4 // When I was a kid (in my pre-vegetarian days), I used to love jerky. When I went vegetarian, I didn’t really miss it, knowing that it was made from animals, but I kind of missed it. You know the feeling!? But I just discovered this company that makes the most AMAZING vegan jerky. Seriously, stop what you’re doing and try some of this stuff. It’s SO GOOD.

5 // Vegan chai cheesecakes with chocolate drizzle. Drooling.

6 // This cucumber vinaigrette by Jessie of Faring Well sounds seriously good.

7 // I’m not a huge ice cream fan, but this simple 3-ingredient vegan vanilla ice cream looks so creamy and refreshing!

8 // Recipe throwback – Loving my Mango Cheesecake! The perfect dessert to make for 4th of July!

I hope all of you have a safe and happy 4th of July!!

Looks so yummy and pretty, Sarah! :) I don’t think I’ve ever actually had jerky! I became vegetarian when I was 9, so I don’t think I ever tried it. That vegan version looks amazing tho, would love to try it out xo

    Be warned, “information-that-no-one-asked-for” coming up:

    You had me at hope.
There’s just something about that word that always hit me. I love it, and would dare to say that I have a very strong relation to it. Moreover, one of the most horrible things that can come to ears is someone saying there is no hope, or that they have given up on, or lost, hope. And while I could probably write an entire essay on it all, I’m just going to say that one should never lose hope, regardless of how slim the chances may be. So basically, no matter how many unjust, naive, and cruel people there may be, hold on to the hope that one day the world will be a better place.

Ps: just voted :P And I hope you have a beautiful week xx

Thank you so much for your vote, Pia!! You made my day :) :) And I always love hearing what you have to say, you always leave the most thoughtful comments and it means a lot to me. Hope is something I’m struggling to hold on to, especially with my health issues (I’m scared I’ll never get better) but you’re right – it’s so crucial not to lose hope. <3 I hope you have a wonderful week as well!

Such a great idea! I love both aloe and watermelon juice, but have never thought of combining them.
Luckily I have them both in my fridge, so I’m making this for breakfast tomorrow :)

I crave watermelon and aloe juice in the summer like nobody’s business but I never thought about combining the two, until now.

I don’t know if I want to make these or your watermelon slushies first. Either way, they’re gorgeous. I can’t stop eating watermelon. Not a bad thing, right?!
