Happy weekend, everyone! Do y’all have any fun plans? Today, I’m going to check out this bouldering spot a few towns over, then go for a little hike at this beautiful trail by a stream. It’s gonna be great!! :D
Being outdoors is the best. There’s something about a running brook or stream that just lowers my heart rate into a state of peace and serenity. And then once it’s summer and the water gets a little warmer, it’ll be brook stomping season. What is brook stomping, you ask? Well, it is the practice of walking through a brook and stomping through the water as much as possible. It’s pretty great. I actually learned the term “brook stomping” at a Girl Scout summer camp I went to when I was 11 or so. There were about six or seven of us in our group, and our camp counselor led us through the brook as we stomped and splashed about. It was my favorite part of summer camp, and to this day brook stomping remains one of my favorite outdoor activities! What are some of your favorite things to do outside?
So here’s some of the stuff that caught my eye on the webs this week:
1 // The folks from Emmy’s Organics were kind enough to send me a goodie box full of some of their amazing products, and I’ve been in vegan heaven. My favorite: their chocolate chip macaroons. They’re raw, vegan, and SO FREAKIN’ GOOD. Seriously, stop whatever you’re doing an get some of their macaroons. You can thank me later ;)
2 // How you handle anger based on your zodiac sign. I found mine to be pretty accurate!
3 // I just got my copy of Whole Bowls in the mail yesterday and I’m loving it. It’s written by Allison Day, the author of one of my favorite blogs, the Yummy Beet. If you’re into healthy, plant-based bowls of deliciousness, her cookbook is for you!
4 // My instagram crush of the week – @JuYogi. What I love about Ju is that she posts pictures of yoga poses that you can actually do. She’s not one of those yoga IGers who is constantly posting pictures of backbend splits and handstand scorpions and other similarly difficult poses. And I’m not trying to hate on those instagrammers – they definitely give me something to aspire to. But there’s something so nice and refreshing about a yogi who posts attainable poses in a beautiful way.
5 // Can I live here, please?!
6 // Vegan queso dip by the Free People blog. Love it!
7 // An amazing and honest article by Alanna of The Bojon Gourmet about first-time cookbook offers and what to do about it. An indispensable read for anyone who has a cookbook offer or wants one in the future. Thank you so much Laura for pointing me to this post.
8 // Bubble tea + oatmeal. Such a genius idea.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! :D

April 24, 2016 at 12:59 pmI get so boring and predictable with my smoothie, it amazes me that you manage to whip up so many new and always deliciously vibrant blends <3 I'm with you on that glass house, so cool! And I love JuYogi's blog, I'll have to check out her insta. Backyard camping sounds fun, it doesn't matter if your house is feet away the outdoors is still amazing :)
