Happy Belly Smoothie

Happy Belly Smoothie | Well and Full | #vegan #probiotic #smoothie

Happy Saturday, everyone! Today I’m really excited because I’m going to start gardening a little bit. This morning, my mom and I started clearing out some brush and dried-out plants from the little plot that will be my herb garden. Let me tell you, there’s nothing like being outside in the sunshine with your hands full of dirt, working with the earth. And later, I think we’re going to Agway (our local gardening/landscaping store) to look at flowers and raised garden beds. I haven’t been been going out much lately because of my illness, so it’ll be nice to get out of the house for a little while. I can’t wait to see all the beautiful flowers and plants at Agway!! :)

Just a quick note about this smoothie – I call it the “Happy Belly” smoothie because it’s made with kombucha, an amazing natural source of probiotics. You can use any brand you like, and pretty much any flavor! I’m of the opinion that all fruits go with other fruits.

So here’s what caught my eye on the webs this week:

1 // I came across this awesome store on Etsy, Legacy Pottery Works, that employs at-risk youth to make their gorgeous pottery. Supporting them would not only mean getting beautiful ceramics, but you’d also be supporting an amazing cause.

2 // My Instagram crush of the week – @ritaserano – has such stunning photography.

3 // I LOVE sorghum (such an underrated grain) and I love this gorgeous sorghum salad by Edible Perspective.

4 // Renee from Will Frolic For Food has her own channel on Nom! I watched her nomcast, How To Build The Ultimate Smoothie Bowl, and I LOVED it. She’s cute, quirky, and knows smoothie bowls like no one else. Check out her channel!

5 // An incredibly insightful post about internet jealousy + comparing ourselves to others. And this quote from it – “If you only had ten f**ks to give, and you knew your life was ending tomorrow, where would you spend them?” Where WOULD you spend them? (P.S. Thank you to Genevieve for directing me to this post)

6 // This rhubarb + strawberry ripple froyo is making seriously wish for summer!! Now I just need to get an ice cream machine….

7 // If you’re the type that gets happy when other people are really happy, then read this post by Jessie of Faring Well. Her enthusiasm bounds off the page, and I couldn’t help but get a huge smile when I read about her move back home to CA :)

8 // And finally, a post full of really cute bunnies. Because we could all use more bunnies in our lives ;)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! :D

Nothing announces “spring is here!” quite like getting dirty planting a garden does. When we finally land somewhere, that’s one of the first things I want to do. Hope yours takes off this season!
