Vegan Cranberry Sauce

Vegan Cranberry Sauce | Well and Full | #vegan #thanksgiving #recipe

The easiest, most delicious homemade Vegan Cranberry Sauce has only six ingredients, and takes less than 15 minutes to make!

I was originally going to post this recipe on Sunday, but there’s no time like the present, am I right? ;) Out of all the Thanksgiving recipes I’ve posted so far (including this vegan mashed cauliflower and French onion stew), this one is probably my favorite. Why? Because cranberry sauce is something that lots of people buy at the store (my family included), but don’t realize is so easy and simple to make at home! I love it when homemade tastes better than the store. This cranberry sauce is perfect – it’s zingy, citrusy, and full of tangy flavor.

This year I’m really hoping for a ~*chill*~ Thanksgiving. I have family members who are on polar opposite sides of the political spectrum, and I hope that any sort of conversation on that topic will be VERY limited. I’ve written some political things on the blog before, but unless it’s a topic that I feel I absolutely must speak on, I want this blog to be focused on food.

You know, I’ve read that being able to forget about politics is a privilege. I absolutely agree with that statement. Certain groups of people don’t have the luxury of abstaining from political discourse, because they face systemic oppression in their everyday lives. But I do not believe that everyone everywhere is political literally 100% of the time. I know that’s not true. Everybody takes a break now and then, whether it’s to take a hot bath, enjoy a cup of hot cocoa, or spend some time with their family and friends. I want my blog to be a place where people can take that break from what’s troubling them, and to be cheered up by a delicious recipe and yummy photo.

At the risk of sounding horribly trite, I really do believe that food – more than anything else – brings people together. Families set aside their differences over the holiday table. People of different cultures come together in enjoyment of a particular food. And that’s a REALLY good thing, something I think our society needs right now. So please enjoy this vegan cranberry sauce recipe, and all the other recipes on this blog. From my heart and home, to yours.
