Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz Can Chickpeas
  • 1-2 Tbs Olive or Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Chipotle Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika
  • Black Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Wash and dry your chickpeas so they're completely dry. Discard any loose chickpea skins.
  • In a bowl, mix chickpeas, oil, salt, and spices, so that the chickpeas are evenly coated.
  • On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, bake chickpeas in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
  • When done, let cool.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • The drier the chickpeas are before tossing with oil/spices, the crunchier they will be.
  • For even better results, remove all of the chickpea skins before cooking. It takes a long time, but it gets the chickpeas super crunchy!
  • This all being said, these chickpeas aren't meant to be totally crispy - they have a meaty inside that really adds texture to salads and pasta dishes!
  • Feel free to freestyle the spices here - turmeric, harissa powder, or steak seasoning are all great additions!
