Vegan Buffalo Chickpea Fritters

These Vegan Buffalo Chickpea Fritters are the perfect easy, kid-friendly meal! These are great for dipping in barbecue sauce or ketchup.

  • 1 15 oz Can Chickpeas
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Red Onion
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Green Bell Pepper
  • 3 Tbs Vegan Mayo
  • 2 Tbs Buffalo Sauce
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour


  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Rinse, drain, and dry your can of chickpeas (they don't have to be completely dry, but get most of the brine off). In a bowl, mash chickpeas a little, but leave some chunks of chickpeas in the mash.

  3. Add in the chopped red onion, chopped bell pepper, mayo, buffalo sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  4. Then, add in the flour. Mix with a spoon until you can't anymore, then knead the dough with your hands for a few times.

  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a cookie or ice cream scoop, scoop out balls of the fritter dough. Use your hands to flatten them into approximately 2-inch disks.

  6. Bake fritters in the oven for 30-35 minutes.

  7. Serve with your favorite dip or salad, and enjoy!
