Cape Cod Margaritas

These Cape Cod Margaritas are inspired by the same margarita at the Chatham Squire - made with the Cape Cod staple of cranberry juice!

Ingredients

  • 2.5 oz Tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau or other orange liqueur
  • 1 oz Freshly-Squeezed Lime Juice it MUST be fresh
  • 2 oz Cranberry Juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
  • Frozen Cranberries for garnish
  • Lime Wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients except the garnishes to a cocktail shaker, then add ice. Shake vigorously for 45-60 seconds.
  • Fill up two glasses to the brim with ice. Pour over the margarita mixture evenly into both glasses
  • Garnish the glasses with frozen cranberries and lime wedges, if you'd like.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • To make simple syrup, combine even parts water and sugar to a saucepan, and simmer on low heat until all of the sugar is melted. For example, you can use 1/4 cup each water and sugar.
  • I like Ocean Spray's Diet Cranberry Juice because it has zero added sugar!
  • I highly recommend using a cocktail jigger to measure the ingredients. However, if you don’t have one, here are the liquid conversions:
      • 1 oz = approx. 2 tablespoons
      • 1 1/2 oz = approx. 3 tablespoons
      • 2 oz = 1/4 cup
      • 3 oz = approx. 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon
      • 4 oz = approx. 1/2 cup
