750mLSauvignon Blanc1 standard wine bottle
1CupGreen Apple VodkaI like Smirnoff
2CupsApple Juicenot cider
Juice from 1/2 Lemon
2Green Applessuch as Granny Smith
Ice
Instructions
In a pitcher, combine the wine, apple vodka, and apple juice. Stir well.
Just before serving, cut up the green apples into thin slices and add them to a bowl. Squeeze the lemon juice over the slices and mix (this will help prevent them from browning). Once all of the apple slices are covered in lemon juice, then you can add them to the sangria.
Add enough ice to fill up the pitcher. Or, alternatively, you can add ice to individual glasses and pour the sangria over those.
Enjoy!
Notes
If making this sangria ahead of time, add the apples at the last minute.
If planning to store this sangria in the refrigerator, store it without ice so that it doesn't dilute the mixture.
You don't have to use Sauvignon Blanc, but I recommend it for its crisp taste that pairs well with green apple flavors. You can also try a Riesling or Pinot Grigio, or a white Moscato for a sweeter sangria.
