Ingredients

Pumpkin Spice Simple Syrup

  • 1/3 Cup Pumpkin Purée
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1 Tsp Pumpkin Spice
  • Pinch Salt

Pumpkin Spice Margaritas

  • 3 oz Tequila
  • 1/2 oz Pumpkin Purée
  • 1 oz Pumpkin Spice Syrup
  • 1/2 oz Orange Liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1/2 oz Fresh-Squeezed Lime Juice

Pumpkin Spice Brown Sugar Rim

  • Brown Sugar
  • Pumpkin Spice
  • Coarse Sea Salt optional

Garnishes (optional)

  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Sprinkle of Cinnamon

Instructions

  • To begin, make the pumpkin spice simple syrup. In a small saucepot, add in all of the syrup ingredients and bring to medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce to a simmer and cook until all of the sugar is completely melted. When done, set aside and let cool.
  • Prep your pumpkin spice brown sugar for the glass rims (if desired). Sprinkle a thin layer of brown sugar, pumpkin spice, and coarse sea salt (optional) onto a plate. Using a lime wedge, wet the rims of your cocktail glasses, then gently press into the plate of sugar until the rims are coated.
  • To prepare the margaritas, add ice to your cocktail shaker. Add in the margarita ingredients and shake until ice cold, at least 15-30 seconds.
  • Add ice to your glasses. Pour margaritas evenly between the two glasses. Serve and garnish with extra cinnamon or cinnamon sticks. Enjoy!

Notes

I highly recommend using a cocktail jigger to measure the ingredients. However, if you don’t have one, here are the liquid conversions:
    • 1 oz = approx. 2 tablespoons
    • 1 1/2 oz = approx. 3 tablespoons
    • 2 oz = 1/4 cup
    • 3 oz = approx. 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon
