Make these Merry Christmas Mocktails for a festive Christmas! Non-alcoholic and healthy, these mocktails are made with ginger beer and cranberry juice for full holiday flavor. Don’t skip the fresh sprigs of thyme for added depth of flavor!
Lately I’ve been working quite frequently with a sparkling water company, and they’re all about mocktails. I’ll admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of mocktails to begin with. But now, it’s one of my favorite ways to unwind at the end of the day! I realized that it’s not the alcohol I look forward to – it’s the ritual of having a special drink in a fancy glass.
As adults with free will, you can drink anything you want to out of your fancy wine glass or goblet. I have these cute flower-shaped coupes that I love to break out for no reason at all! Plus, the benefit of mocktails is that they’re hydrating, often healthy, and don’t come with a headache the next day ;) So keep your eye out for more mocktail recipes coming up in the future! Enjoy!

Merry Christmas Mocktails
Ingredients
- 4 oz Cranberry Juice not cranberry juice cocktail
- 2 oz Freshly-Squeezed Orange Juice
- Ginger Beer to fill
- 2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme
- Pomegranate Arils optional
- Ice
Instructions
- Get out two glasses. Pour in 2 oz of cranberry juice in each glass, and 1 oz of freshly-squeezed orange juice in each glass. Stir.
- Add in ice to fill each glass, then pour the ginger beer on top. Stir.
- Garnish each glass with pomegranate arils and fresh sprigs of thyme. Enjoy!
Notes
- I highly recommend using a cocktail jigger to measure the ingredients. However, if you don’t have one, here are the liquid conversions:
-
- 2 oz = 1/4 cup
- 4 oz = approx. 1/2 cup
- If you want to batch prep this mocktail for a crowd, combine 2 cups of real cranberry juice with 1 cup of freshly-squeezed orange juice in a large jar or pitcher, and mix. Pour 3 oz of this juice mixture in your guests’ glasses, then top with ice and ginger beer.

Merry Christmas Mocktails FAQs
Can these mocktails be made ahead of time?
You can prep certain ingredients ahead of time, but I don’t recommend mixing these mocktails until right before serving. You want to make sure to open your ginger beer at the last second to keep the drinks bubbly for longer!
Does ginger beer contain alcohol?
For this recipe, I’m asking you to buy non-alcohol ginger beer, like Fever Tree, Reed’s, or Goslings ginger beer. When in doubt, make sure you check the packaging. Non-alcoholic ginger beer can be found in most grocery stores in the soda aisle!
Is this Christmas Mocktail for adults?
Yes! These Festive Christmas Mocktails are perfect for adults, and adventurous kids!
Can kids drink ginger beer?
Yes, only if you buy a non-alcoholic brand! However, some kids may not like the strong, gingery taste.
What type of cranberry juice do I need for this recipe?
Buy real cranberry juice for this recipe, not the bright-red Ocean Spray cranberry cocktail juice. Although I do love Ocean Spray, it’s just not the right ingredient for this recipe!
Do I have to include the thyme?
You don’t have to include the thyme, but I really hope you do because it goes with the other flavors in the mocktail mix SO well!
