This is the perfect Thanksgiving Sangria – made with vanilla and cinnamon liquor, plus two types of seasonal fruit juices! Get the party started with this well-rounded, flavorful sangria. It’ll pair amazingly with virtually every dish, sweet or savory!
It’s almost Thanksgiving! I can’t believe it’s next week – where does the time go!? It’s wayyy past time that I’m posting a Thanksgiving cocktail here on the blog. And what better cocktail to post than a sangria? I love making sangria because it feeds the inner child in me who loved to make crazy concoctions. In fact, I still am that crazy child – I frequently mix my shower gels, lotions, soaps, etc. Just ask my husband. He’ll catch me on the bathroom floor with a dropcloth, mixing all my soaps together like a mad scientist. I love it!
I did a little bit of a mad scientist thing here by adding in two liquors and two fruit juices. But why not!? Thanksgiving’s the perfect time to go a little extra. Besides, are you really going to argue to me that you don’t need vanilla AND cinnamon liquor for flavor? Hmm? I didn’t think so ;) Enjoy!!

- 1 Cup Pear Juice

- Enjoy!
Notes
- Be sure to use real cranberry juice for this recipe, NOT that super bright red cranberry juice cocktail you see in stores!
- If you can’t find pear juice, regular apple juice will do!
- This sangria can be made ahead of time – just be sure to store it without any garnishes. It will last 2-3 days in the fridge, covered.

Thanksgiving Sangria FAQs
How long does Thanksgiving Sangria last?
This sangria will last, sans garnishes, for 2-3 days in the refrigerator. It’s super convenient to make ahead of time that way!
What type of wine is best for Thanksgiving Sangria?
A dry, citrusy white wine is perfect for this Thanksgiving Sangria, such as Riesling, or certain Pinot Grigios or Sauvignon Blancs. The acidity and citrus notes of these wines complement the fruit juices without making the sangria overly sweet or heavy.
What are the ingredients in Thanksgiving Sangria?
This sangria has five main ingredients – dry white wine, vanilla vodka, cinnamon whiskey (like Fireball), pear juice, and cranberry juice. For this recipe I have you use real cranberry juice – not the super-bright, red stuff (though I do love my Ocean Spray).
Is this a good Thanksgiving cocktail for a crowd?
Yes, sangria is one of the best cocktails for a crowd! Sangria is easy to make in batches, can be prepared well in advance, and looks gorgeous served in a big pitcher or punch bowl (if you have one).
