Celebrate Halloween with these dark, moody Black Widow Spritzes! They’re the perfect festive cocktails for Halloween parties, made with a combination of classic ingredients and some seasonal twists.
Happy Halloween, friends! Today I have a fun, festive, and easy cocktail for you to make tonight. These Black Widow Spritzes are SO delicious – who knew blackberry liqueur, apple cider, and ginger beer could be so good together!? These spritzes are bold and deeply flavorful, and very drinkable (maybe a little too drinkable – proceed with caution!).
Fall is such a great time to make cocktails because there are so many great seasonal ingredients to use. We have pumpkin spice, apple cider, plums… the sky’s the limit. Now, of course blackberries aren’t exactly a seasonal fall fruit. However, they ARE considered a late summer / early fall fruit, so it still counts in my book! Especially because the timing of the seasons seems to shift later and later each year… I feel like Christmas is always super warm and mild now, but Easter is frigid cold! Well, you never know what the next season will bring. So it’s all the more reason to enjoy a delicious cocktail now! Cheers!

It can be made with tequila (traditionally) or vodka (also common)!
What is a black widow?
A black widow is a type of venomous spider that can be deadly to humans. The term can also colloquially refer to a woman who kills her husband or male partner!
